Learning Enjoy Video Poker

[ English ]

Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be gambled on in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at home on your PC, through an Internet account. The rules are very straightforward and consist of the player trying to achieve the best combination of cards achievable in order to come away with cash. On this account it is much the same as a regular game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will then be "given out" on the screen.

The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and players should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the player would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.

After the gambler has decided on which cards he would like to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be handed out if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can change from machine to machine, so that experienced bettors are agile enough to pick the most money-making ones each and every instance.

Once the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Additionally, several styles of the game give the gambler a chance to double their wins, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
