Video Poker is a beloved game that is able to be played in casinos across the world, or alternatively at your house on your PC, through an Internet connection. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to achieve the highest assemblage of cards achievable in order to win money. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that skillful players are able to select the most money-making game every instance.
Once the first round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game give the gambler a chance to double their wins, in which situation another hand is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
