Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, using a net account. The rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the highest assemblage of cards as you can in order to come away with cash. On this account it is very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless here.
The game of Video Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the deal button. A five card hand will then be "distributed" on the video screen.
The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.
After the bettor has selected which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be needed they will be handed out. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable players are able to pick the most profitable machine each instance.
After the first round has played out, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the bettor a chance to double their profits, in which case another game is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
